Accommodation Endorsement

The endorsement of a draft or other negotiable instrument by a credit-worthy party in order to enhance the instrument’s acceptability in the money market. Commonly used in banking whereby one bank endorses another bank’s acceptance, so that the draft can be sold in the Bankers’ Acceptance market.
